Making A Difference
If there is one thing that Texas Baptist Children's Home proves, it's that one person can make a difference. From a case manager to a house parent, each individual that touches a hurting child's life can make a tremendous impact. This summer, Hyun Kim, a relative stranger to the ministry, became one of those people.

A Marathon Volunteer Effort
In the past 16 years, the Children At Heart Golf Marathon has raised almost $2.5 million to benefit children and families. It’s not an overstatement to say that not a nickel would have been raised without volunteers.

Faithfulness Fulfilled
Jareen Schmidt’s faithfulness to the ministries of Children At Heart is rooted in tragedy, but fulfilled by good works covering three generations. For five decades, she has loved and nurtured the children at Texas Baptist Children’s Home and, more recently, supported the ministry at Miracle Farm. She brought her parents into the ministry and now her children are continuing a family tradition of philanthropy and good deeds.

Random Acts of Joy
One summer in the 1960s, a boy from Texas Baptist Children’s Home, had the time of his young life playing with Randy Allen, the son of his sponsor family, on their small Elgin farm. A boy who really hadn’t had a family found pure childhood joy and acceptance for the first time.

A Beautiful, Peacefull Place
When Leann Hartman came to the Family Care Program at TBCH, who could blame her if she felt like the entire world was against her. She was five months pregnant when her baby’s father walked out on her. Three months later she lost her job and her ability to pay rent. Without a car, a job or any hope, she reached out to the one place that offered her support.

For one of the few times in their young lives, Trey and Derek Atkins will have a real home for Christmas, thanks to Charlie and Cindy Goble, a husband and wife from Burnet who thought they were done raising kids. How it came about is evidence that when God wants to open doors, there’s no way on earth to keep them closed.

Amazing Faith
