Every year on their birthdays, Aspen and her siblings give back to their community. This year, 7-year-old Aspen asked all of her friends to bring gift cards for her birthday, which she donated to the children and families at Texas Baptist Children’s Home. Aspen and her mom recently came to our campus to drop off the gift cards and, with a big smile on her face and a bounce in her step, Aspen presented us with her gifts. We were tremendously honored by this precious little girl’s generosity!
In the Bible, Paul says, “Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver” (2 Corinthians 9:7). Cheerful givers like Aspen make it possible for those we serve to meet their God-given potential and experience the healing they need in order to live healthy lives. Her gifts make a difference!
The children and single mothers who come to TBCH are often lost, hurting, and hopeless – without a place to turn for help during their time of greatest need. But the kind generosity of donors is helping turn their lives around and equip them for a promising future!
