Gabriela

Gabriela serves as the Program Director for the Hope Counseling Program Round Rock Office. She began working in trauma-informed care as a Therapeutic Childcare Specialist in 2017 using Trust-based Relational Intervention (TBRI) and Attachment Theory. In 2019, Gabriela graduated from Lamar University with a M. Ed. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and began at TBCH.

Gabriela completed EMDR training, is an EMDRIA certified therapist, and has additional trainings in Attachment Focused- EMDR, and Circle of Security Parenting Facilitator. She is a a member of Christian Counselors of Texas, EMDR International Association, and the International Society for the Study of Trauma and Dissociation. She works with clients ages 9 to adults who have experienced childhood abuse, domestic violence, depression, anxiety, and complex trauma. Gabriela combines EMDR, narrative, and expressive arts to build trust, learn self-regulation techniques and process trauma.

Gabriela enjoys cooking, painting, reading, and attending Austin Stone Community Church. She loves being a counselor at TBCH because it is a way for the community to heal without cost.
