Joshua Yang, LPC-Associate Supervised by Suzanne Wood, LPC-S
Counselor, Hope Counseling Program, Round Rock
Josh completed his master’s degree in counseling at Texas State. He’s passionate about working with teenagers and young adults, especially those with a background that stigmatized mental health. He believes that all people are wired for relationships, and that we both grow and heal through those connections. Therapy is a chance to experience a healing relationship that strives to model empathy, authenticity, and grace.
Ted Lasso’s approach to coaching sums it up quite well- “For me, success is not about the wins and losses; it's about helping these young fellas be the best versions of themselves on and off the field. It ain't always easy, but neither is growing up without someone believing in you.”
In his free time, he’s likely volunteering with his church or trying new recipes with his wife, Joanna. He also enjoys watching movies, playing basketball or ultimate frisbee, and exploring new restaurants around Austin.
