We were recently blessed by our friends at Orphans’ Embrace, a ministry of First Baptist Church of Wichita Falls. This amazing group of volunteers spent an entire week with us and served on our campus in Round Rock in a wide variety of ways. From remodeling our Commissary to painting and building fences, this group gave every project their full effort – with big smiles on their faces! During their visit, they also spent time with our staff and some of the clients who live on campus. They even hosted a cookout with delicious burgers and hot dogs!
The goal of Orphan’s Embrace is to educate, engage, and equip the body of Christ to biblically respond to the plight of the fatherless in our community and around the world. We are so thankful that they chose partner with us in fulfilling this mission. Their labor and selfless service helped meet so many of our needs, which enables our staff to dedicate their time to serving children and families in our care. We may never know the multitude of lives that have been impacted by the folks from Orphans’ Embrace!
“Hopefully, this week will inspire, uplift, and encourage the children and families at TBCH,” said one of the Orphans’ Embrace volunteers. They were deeply moved by the “love for children, families, and the desire to see them healthy, moving forward, and experiencing the love of Christ” at TBCH. We are so thankful for these sweet friends and all of their hard work!
